The Present
A mysterious object unlike anything seen on earth before
falls from the sky, slams into the hills of Sedona, Arizona,
and changes the world forever.
Three men moving with very different purposes suddenly
find their lives irrevocably linked by its influence.
The first, a twisted mutant genius too repulsive to live
among ordinary people, spends his time hiding away in a
darkened laboratory studying the night sky. He is the first
one to know it is coming and to understand its power—
and he wants it for himself.
His superior, a man with a vivid imagination and no
conscience, is the leader of a secret coalition that uses the
populace of the world as unwitting pawns in deadly games
of germ warfare and population control. He needs it to
protect himself and increase his power to control millions
of innocent lives.
The object, however, is predestined to impart its power
to a third man, an innocent drifter camped on a desert
hillside. Alone and anonymous, with nothing to lose, he
unexpectedly finds himself changed beyond his wildest
dreams. Only he has the power to stop the men who
consider themselves above the law, above morality, equal
to God.
Armed with his new power and will to do good, he sets out
on a rampage across the Southwest, testing his limitless
strength and intellect in a series of seemingly random
encounters that one by one lead him closer to his ultimate
destiny: to find true love and help a hardworking family
save themselves and their entire town from extermination. |
