Artificial Attrition is a fascinating commentary on the current War on Terror and the use of governmental power to pursue covert, political objectives. It is hard to put down and I found that I read through the book in about five or six sessions. It has the aura of believability to it, especially given the real events unfolding in America over the last two years. I found myself coming to know well the characters in the story – both the good and bad guys.
I hope that Dave writes more novels. His grasp of technical detail in flying, prisons, government operations, and so on gives such stories a good basis for holding the reader’s attention.
