About The Author

Driven and tenacious, David Epperson has always believed in working hard and pursuing his dreams. Even as a child he worked to excel at whatever he did. At the age of twelve he won a bicycle and a trip to Washington D.C. - both for delivering a lot of newspapers in his hometown of Waterford, Michigan.

After graduating from high school he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he was recognized for outstanding service and was issued the highest peacetime award, the Navy Achievement Medal. He served his country for six years, and was honorably discharged in 1980.

The advanced electronics training Dave received in the Navy enabled him to pursue his next dream - which was to start his own business in the field of medical imaging.

Dave began writing in 1998. In characteristic fashion, he studied the art of writing and wrote short stories, poems, and two novels while developing his own writing style. In 2001 he relocated to Northern California to pursue writing full-time. He completed Artifical Attrition in late 2003, and The Present in early 2005. The Swallow, which is the sequel to Artifical Attrition, is in the works.

Dave's hobbies include backpacking in the Trinity Alps, snow skiing, water skiing, and boating on the Trinity Lake. He is an instrument rated pilot. He has raced dirt bikes for many years and has trophied at many races, including the Tecate 250. Dave brings his passion for life and his vast experience to his books.

Dave and his wife Francie have been married for 25 years, raising one son, six dogs, and a cat
